At the Headingley Chiropractic Clinic we offer a multidisciplinary approach to health care with the focus on Chiropractic. The underlying philosophy is that the more holistically your health problem is treated the better the chances of recovery.

We work with a network of practitioners from different disciplines. These range from a podiatrist, holistic dentist, masseur, naturopath and hypnotherapist – amongst others. Suzanne Dolby, podiatrist with Leeds United, consults from our rooms weekly.

Dr Mark Butterworth is the principal chiropractor at Headingley Chiropractic Clinic and is registered on the General Chiropractic Council and with the British Chiropractic Association. He is also qualified as an Advanced Sacro Occipital Technique Practitioner and a Craniopath (the only chiropractor in Yorkshire to have obtained this qualification). Mark is the secretary of the Yorkshire Faculty of the College of Chiropractors and a Sacro Occipital Technique instructor and examiner.

Dr Butterworth is also well studied in Applied Kinesiology and Chirodontics (a technique incorporating chiropractors, dentists and orthodontists). Mark’s training in various techniques enables him to tailor the treatment to best suit your needs and thus provides a greater chance of a full and speedy recovery.

On the 20th March 2007 I slipped a disc in my back. A friend recommended Mr. Butterworth at Headingley Chiropractic Clinic. As I am of a very nervous dispostion I was reluctant to contact Mr. Butterworth, but as my pain increased I made an appointment to which I was seen quickly and was put at ease straight away. I had two treatments at the clinic which have been highly successful. I would certainly recommend this treatment to anybody in a similar predicament.

"Dear Mark,

Thank you so much for your help with S. I was getting rather desperate, as evenings had become a nightmare. S constantly crying and refusing to settle until late into the night.

I must admit I was a little sceptical at first, especially as S cried through most of his first treatment. However, from the second treatment onwards his behaviour improved noticeably. He now goes to bed quite happily around 7pm and is generally a much calmer baby. Another remarkable result of his treatment is that I haven't had to give him anything for colic since his third visit to you - friends with babies of similar age are still regularly dosing them with Infacol & Gripe water!

So thanks again It was lovely to watch how S relaxed from head to toe when you massages him - I know exactly how he feels.
